Moodle Plugins Review 3 – the Dialogue Module

Moodle is a demanding mistress, and the amount of Moodle work going for my Higher Education clients in the last month or so has kept me busy enough to genuinely struggle to find time to do any blogging. At last, a fortuitous day off has helped me to get enough time to put together the third video in the Plugins Review series – this one thanks to a query from a friend and colleague who likes to ask questions that I often can’t answer, which in this case related to the Dialogue Module.

The Dialogue Module sits part way between a Forum, an instant message and an Online Text Assignment in Moodle – and I think it fills a gap quite nicely, and in a way that at least to my vaguely technical eye looks to be a simple extension to core code. The following video gives an overview of what the Dialogue module does, the scenarios in which it could prove useful, and a live demo of one I’ve prepared earlier – hope it gives an idea of this very neat extension.

Great tutorial. Enjoyed the educational conceptualization.
Do you mind that I link this page to moodle support page in my college?

Thanks, and of course you can – glad it’s of interest :)
